3D printer can combine seven different materials

OPS : 04 December, 2012  (New Product)
The desktop Objet30 Pro 3D printer to be demonstrated at Southern Manufacturing on the OPS stand E39 has the true-to-life capability to combine seven different materials in a build rate up to 112 cm³/hr for opaque and up to 600cu.cm/hr for transparent materials to an accuracy of 0.1mm.
3D printer can combine seven different materials

The Objet30 Pro is designed for very accurate, dimensionally stable 3D models for use in visual aids, early stage fit, form and functional testing plus the production of small moving parts, thin walled models and creation of smooth surfaces that can be painted or even plated.  Indeed, models can also be machined or drilled and even used as part of the vacuum forming process.

As a compact desktop machine just 82 cm by 62 cm by 59 cm on the OPS supply of Objet30 Pro widens the use of the prototyping concept with low capital outlay to slash product development times with the ability to create multiple design assignments in a single day.

The resolution through its twin printing heads is highly versatile at 600 dpi in X- and Y- axes and 900 dpi in the vertical Z-axis producing horizontal layers each 28 micron thick in most materials and 16 micron in transparent materials.

Materials able to be processed on the Objet30 include VeroClear transparent, a high temperature material, two variants of white including a durable and a rigid opaque white which is similar to polyprolene and three further rigid opaque materials in black, grey and blue.
