Emerson Industrial Automation, Control Techniques : 17 October, 2012  (Company News)
Control Techniques has announced the appointment of Stewart Dowsett as UK business development manager. This is a new position created due to Control Techniques’ expanding UK sales.
Drives company appoints business development manager

Stewart has over 20 years of business experience in the industrial automation and motion control market sector.  Although he currently works in sales, Stewart began his career in an engineering environment and studied mechanical engineering at Brunel Technical College, Bristol.

Shaun Prinsloo, Control Techniques’ UK regional director says: “Stewart’s brief is to build on the success Control Techniques has established in the UK for supporting special purpose machine builders and original equipment manufacturers.  Stewart brings strong industry experience and skills to his new position.  I am confident that he will drive growth for the company.”

Stewart says: “I am extremely excited about the potential for Control Techniques to grow its market share and I am convinced that there is massive scope for growth in the UK drives market.  My strategy will be to engage with UK manufacturing companies in order to develop their understanding of Control Techniques’ market-leading drives technology.  I will then work alongside them to demonstrate how Control Techniques can support them to become more competitive in their respective markets, especially against global competition.”
