Cord retaining system for IEC C8 appliance inlets
05 February, 2014
Schurter has expanded its range of cord retaining systems to include a new clip retaining device for IEC C8 inlets and mating cord sets.
Three-phase AC high-current filter for increasingly powerful inverters
20 August, 2013
Schurter is expanding its successful FMER SOL DC filter with a series for applications using 3-phase AC. The new FMCC SOL high-performance filter series is designed for rated currents from 150 to 2500 A. The devices are ideal for increasingly powerful inverters that require filters on both the AC and DC sides. Large inverters find use in photovoltaics, wind energy systems as well as in industrial applications and quick-charge stations for electric vehicles.
Compact SMD fuse in 14 rated currents alternative to cartridge fuses
29 July, 2013
Schurter is now offering the UMF 250 SMD fuse in 14 rated currents between 500mA and 10A. The SMD fuse is well suited for voltages up to 250VAC and 125VDC. It features a high breaking capacity of up to 200A at rated voltage.
16A appliance inlet for efficient mounting
03 June, 2013
Schurter has developed a new 16A appliance inlet for efficient mounting. Designed for print circuit board mounting, it can be easily sandwiched between split enclosures and tested before it is installed in the equipment. Stabilising posts provide quick snap-in assembly to the PCB. A version with screw mount stabilisers is also available.
IEC outlet with IDC terminals speeds assembly for power distribution units
20 May, 2013
Schurter's 6610 appliance outlet, which is the first of its kind to utilize IDC technology, is now available with IDC terminals for 14 AWG/1.5 mm<2> in addition to the existing version for 12 AWG/2.5 mm<2>. The new option allows for smaller diameter wire and thus less costly wiring in lighter duty applications.
SMD fuses increase safety and battery life for standalone devices
04 September, 2012
The range of battery-powered devices extends from powerful hand tools for craftsmen, to sensors for room surveillance all the way through to life-saving medical aids. The safety of such devices presents quite a challenge. To ensure the safe operation of standalone devices, Schurter offers two SMD fuses with low power dissipation and tight tolerances for tripping time.
