Device management tool runs on tablets

FieldMate R3.01.10 is the latest version of Yokogawa's multi-lingual stand-alone device management tool for configuring, maintaining and managing field devices in industrial plants. In its tablet configuration, FieldMate R3.01 is an ideal tool for device patrol and maintenance tasks. New functions added include the automatic generation of device configuration reports in a variety of formats and the centralised management of various types of device related information.
Test instruments play key role in development of electric bike

Test instruments supplied by Yokogawa are playing a key role in the final testing of motors for electric bikes manufactured by Heinzmann in the village of Schönau in Germany’s Black Forest region. Heinzmann has been developing and manufacturing electric drives for over 30 years. The company’s drives are used in a range of industrial applications as well as in various types of electric vehicles.

The Yokogawa 2553A is a precision DC calibrator combining precision performance and ease of use for the calibration of measuring instruments, including analogue meters, thermometers, temperature transmitters and data loggers. The new unit features high accuracy, high stability, low noise, and high resolution. Intuitive operation is aided by the provision of dials for each digit and switch and a clear display using traditional 7-segment LEDs.

Yokogawa Electric Corporation subsidiary Yokogawa de Mexico has received an order from Cobra Instalaciones Mexico, a subsidiary of the Spanish EPC firm ACS, to supply an integrated control and safety instrumented system for an ultra-low-sulphur diesel fuel plant that is being built for PEMEX Refinación, a subsidiary of Mexico's national oil company, PEMEX.

Multi-protocol wireless adaptor enables wired field instruments or analytical sensors to be used as wireless devices

Yokogawa has developed a multi-protocol wireless adaptor that enables wired field instruments or analytical sensors to be used as ISA100 Wireless devices. The company will release models in May and July that support communications based on the HART and RS485 Modbus standards. To facilitate the introduction of field wireless systems in plants, Yokogawa plans to release additional models that will cover other standards.
