TODO : 03 January, 2013  (Company News)

The move is part of plans to expand its product range and increase brand recognition worldwide.
Swedish dry couplings manufacturer transfers production to Kent, UK

From 1 January 2013, the facility in Margate will provide the complete TODO product offering for distribution worldwide. With a considered and carefully planned transition, disruption to both TODO and its customers should be kept to a minimum.

TODO manufactures and supplies couplings, valves and hoses for safe handling of hazardous fluids and gases. Designed and manufactured to EN ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 accredited procedures - the product range will continue to conform to all relevant international quality, performance and safety standards.

For a smooth transaction between Sweden and the UK, TODO carefully selected a new team of specialist staff to work in the new Margate facility, trained at the Toreboda plant in the company’s systems and processes.

The existing TODO sales support team in Sweden will remain in the Toreboda sales office. TODO will also continue to provide all its products through a comprehensive, certified distributor network.

Brian Armitage, Director of Supply Chain Management at Gardner Denver Group, said: “The move from Toreboda to Margate will provide us with an ideal opportunity to further implement best practices and improve and enhance our production processes. It will also enable us to work more closely with other parts of the group which will allow us to maximise service levels.”
