Microcontrollers and Analog Semiconductors
Microcontroller - intelligent analog, low power for portable medical, industrial use
Microcontrollers and Analog Semiconductors : 18 September, 2013
Microchip announces a new family of microcontrollers (MCUs), the PIC24FJ128GC010. This family is an analog system on a chip that integrates a full analog signal chain, including Microchip’s first ever on-chip precision 16-bit ADC and 10 Msps 12-bit ADC, plus a DAC and dual operational amplifiers (Op Amps), along with eXtreme Low Power (XLP) technology for extended battery life in portable medical and industrial applications.

PWM and FOM complementary families support high-efficiency DC/DC power-conversion designs
Microcontrollers and Analog Semiconductors : 19 November, 2012
Microchip announces a new family of power-conversion controllers and its first-ever family of power MOSFET devices. This new Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller and complementary family of low Figure-of-Merit (FOM) MOSFET products combine to support high-efficiency DC/DC power-conversion designs, covering a broad array of consumer and industrial applications.

Crystal-free USB microcontrollers offer substantial system cost savings
Microcontrollers and Analog Semiconductors : 24 September, 2012
Microchip announces the expansion of its certified full-speed USB2.0 Device PIC microcontroller portfolio with three new enhanced midrange 8-bit families. These comprise 15 scalable MCUs ranging from 14 to 100 pins with up to 128kB of Flash. All feature internal clock sources with the 0.25% clock accuracy necessary for USB communication, which saves up to $0.15 by eliminating the need for an external crystal.
