Pressure Sensors
Pressure switches offer reliable medium-to-high monitoring within space-constrained environments
Pressure Sensors : 23 August, 2015
There is a growing industry need for high-accuracy OEM hydraulic pressure switches which can be used where space is limited. The Model PS61P Series is a family of OEM sub-miniature, steel-hardened, piston-actuator-based pressure switches. It is aimed at the hydraulic pressure monitoring of forklifts, combine harvesters, scissor lifts, off-road and off-highway equipment. They are also ideal for hydraulic power pack and wind generator nacelle monitoring applications.

Pressure switches provide hopper-empty warning for crop-dusters
Pressure Sensors : 20 April, 2015
Technological improvements involving World Magnetics’ DesignFlex pressure switches are demonstrated on the crop-dusters operated by USA-based company Earls’ Flying Service. For nearly 40 years this small company has pioneered improvements in aerial spraying that have become industry standards - such as advanced gate controller design for fertiliser economy and GPS-guided spraying for improved farmland productivity. Its latest development was to find a better way to determine when the airplane runs out of fertilizer.

Electronic pressure switch with advanced control to improve safety
Pressure Sensors : 24 June, 2013
The MEP switch is a new addition to Danfoss’ comprehensive range of sensors and switches for the mobile hydraulic equipment segment. This electronic pressure switch offers a multitude of advantages in comparison to a mechanical pressure switch, including greater accuracy, freedom from contact wear out, excellent long-term stability, simpler operation and a high number of switching cycles.

High speed scanning system wins Polish award
Pressure Sensors : 10 May, 2013
Tekscan’s High Speed I-Scan System has been named Product of the Year in the "Measurement Device, Sensors’ category and was awarded a Golden Medal by Napêdy I Sterowanie, a technical journal in Poland. The journal compares and analyzes various technologies to determine the Product of the Year for each category.

Video File: Impact force analysis of car seat during crash - should children travel backwards?
Pressure Sensors : 15 April, 2013
Utilising Tekscan’s Body Pressure Measurement System (BPMS), impact force and pressure have been analysed during a TV show which blends science and technology, testing scientific theory to answer tricky questions, perform unique challenges, and investigate present and future global issues.
