Power resistor manufacturer, Cressall Resistors has released a white paper highlighting the need for load bank testing in manufacturing facilities.
 
Pre-insertion resistor for high voltage direct current (HVDC)

UK based power resistor manufacturer, Cressall has developed a pre-insertion resistor (PIR) for use in high voltage direct current (HVDC) applications. The resistor stands at over 10m tall and has been tested to ensure it can withstand the mechanical and thermal stresses of 48MJ of energy that it is exposed to at switch on.
 
3D printer will speed time to market for electronic component manufacturer

REO UK, a manufacturer of resistive and inductive wound components, has introduced a new 3D printing machine in its factory in Solingen, Germany, to assist with rapid prototyping. The newly acquired 3D printer will help speed time to market and improve product quality.
 
Saudi contracts spur power resistor accreditation

As part of a project to supply Neutral Earthing Resistors (NER) to be used by the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), power resistor manufacturer Cressall has successfully conducted pre-qualification testing at accredited laboratory CESI in Milan. As a result, the Midlands firm has secured five orders worth a total of £100,000 to supply equipment to be installed in SEC substations.
